Nicky Walker

Nicky Walker lived on Dartmoor for many years and moved, just over the border, into Cornwall, she also spends time on the Scilly Isles. Her work focuses on the energy and colour of a place which is extraordinary when using her monochrome palette.  On the opposite side of the spectrum the skies and seas of the Scilly Isles are captured in bold brush strokes incorporating the brightness and muted tones of these island jewels. 

Nicky also uses found materials incorporating them into her  work with a bold spontaneity mixing ash, raw pigment – endless possibilities.
