Richard Thorn

Richard began drawing and sketching at the age of 5, watercolours were a natural progression, early influences were the Impressionists and later the work of American watercolourists - Winslow Homer, Edward Hopper, Philip Jameson and Andrew Wyeth to name but a few.  His strong, distinctive style owes much to these exponents of the medium.  His penchant for light has made his work much sought after by collectors throughout the country.  Each painting is a new beginning, the medium has been and always will be, a challenge with extraordinary results.
